What is The Balance Company™ (TBC)?
The Balance Company™ is dedicated to helping people everywhere live with abundant health and balance everyday. TBC is a “customer-direct” company: we handle the inventory-management, order-taking, and shipping for all of our independent Consultants, so that they can focus on building thriving businesses and serving their customers.

Why does TBC use a “customer-direct” approach?
The Balance Company™ has a story to tell! We feel we can’t tell our story at typical “retail” stores. In a retail environment, products get lost amidst the seemingly endless choices and consumers become easily confused about which products are right for them. Instead, we’ve chosen a customer-direct approach so that those who are touched and empowered by our unique products and philosophy can genuinely share their experience with others. Customer-direct marketing allows for a more personal forum and level of trust. On the financial side, think about your favorite products: Wouldn’t it be great if you got paid by that company every time you referred someone to purchase the same products?

Are PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™ approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)?
Our products are nutritional supplements, not drugs. PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™ are governed by the Dietary Supplement Health & Education Act, a federal law which governs the supplement market. TBC strictly adheres to all applicable law in this regard, and rigorously tests its products for quality and safety prior to sale.

Where do the ingredients for PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™ come from? Are they organic?
TBC is dedicated to producing the highest-quality, most wholesome and healthiest products possible. We take great care to use the best fruit and vegetable juices in PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™ with the flavor profile, freshness, and health benefits that you expect in every ounce. BalanceDrops™, in particular, are made with over 80% organic material, by weight.
Our proprietary blend of juices contains several rare and in-demand juices, such as aronia berry, pomegranate, and blueberry, which are difficult to purchase in 100% organic form. In order to ensure that we provide you with the very best fruit year-round, we have chosen to use juices that are all-natural, but not necessarily 100% organic. Moving forward, we will be using 100% organic juices in our proprietary blend in the future based on availability, cost, and taste characteristics.

What is the recommended daily intake for PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™?
For PHENOLMENAL! Balance™, we recommend one-to-two ounces per day, and BalanceDrops™ as desired. Keep in mind, however, that extreme over-consumption of any product could have negative effects.

How should I consume PHENOLMENAL! Balance™?
For the most potent dose of phenols, you can take up to two ounces of PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ straight from the bottle. If desired, you can also mix it with 8-oz. of water, juice, or in your favorite smoothie.

Is it safe to consume PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™ with medications?
If you are under the care of a physician, are currently taking medications, or have any concerns about any of the ingredients, consult your physician before using our products. There are no known harmful interactions between PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ or BalanceDrops™, and any medication. However, it is important to be safe, so you should always consult your physician if you have any questions or are unsure about combining products.

Are PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™ products safe for children or those pregnant or nursing?
Our products are not recommended for women who are pregnant or lactating, nor are they recommended for children under 18 years of age and/or under 120 pounds in weight.

Is there caffeine in any of the products?
Neither PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ nor BalanceDrops™ for Relaxation contain caffeine. BalanceDrops™ for Energy contain natural caffeine from Green Tea -- each drop is the caffeine equivalent of less than a cup of tea.

What sugars or additives are used in PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™?
PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ contains no added or artificial sweeteners. Instead, we've added a hint of stevia, an herb that is 100 times sweeter than sugar (yet safe for diabetics to consume).
BalanceDrops™ are made with organic sugar, and contain no preservatives.

What is the shelf life for PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™?
The shelf life for PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ after manufacture is about 11 months, and every bottle we sell has a "best-by" date printed on it. Once opened, we recommend refrigerating the product, and consuming PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ within 35 days after opening. BalanceDrops™ have a two-year shelf-life, and each pouch also has a "best-by" date printed on it.

How should I store PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ and BalanceDrops™?
We recommend keeping PHENOLMENAL! Balance™ in the refrigerator, especially after opening the package. The product will also do fine kept at ambient temperatures (65-75 degrees) before opening. We do not recommend freezing BalanceOne™ for consumption at a later time, nor do we recommend extended exposure to extreme heat, as this will likely degrade the product. We suggest keeping your BalanceDrops™ in a cool, dry place.

Can I purchase products directly from the Company, without knowing a Consultant?
Yes. While we recommend you purchase products through a Consultant, you are welcome to order directly from us. After you order and we ship you your product(s), we will assign your account to a local Consultant who will serve you in the future.

What is the BalanceClub™ Member Program?
When you sign-up as an BalanceClub Member, you receive a 10% discount on your products every month, and you receive them at the same time every month, charged to your credit card of choice.
In addition, TBC's Chief Balance Coach, Dr. James Rouse becomes your personal balance coach every month, providing you with a downloadable blueprint for wellness of video clips, tips and ideas, and recent science to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. We'll then send this DVD collection to you every quarter.
You will also have access in the future to special Member Benefits, and you'll be a part of a balanced community that assists you in staying in balance every single day. It's an optional program at no additional cost to you, and if desired, you may opt-out of your BalanceClub Membership after your first month.

Can I change my BalanceClub™ Member preferences once I sign up?
Yes. You’re in complete control of your BalanceClub Member account – you can add or remove products, put your account on hold (if you are out of town, etc.), or cancel at any time after your first month. To make changes to your account, simply log into your account and edit your profile. Changes made after the standing BalanceClub date will be reflected in the following month’s shipment.

What is the BalanceCareer™ Plan? How was it created?
This is our compensation plan for our independent Consultants. We spent many months conferring with industry experts to create our compensation plan. There are a few key principles:
- Leadership is rewarded: Any “breakage” or commissions which Consultants don’t qualify for is “rolled-up” and “compressed” so that a qualified Leader above will get that commission.
- Transparency is key: We pay 40% of qualifying revenues to our Consultants. We don’t play games with commissions, and all our products carry the same commissionable level.
- Rewarding customer acquisition is key: No company can be successful without a large and thriving customer base, and we provide significant incentives for our Consultants to attract and retain customers. For more about our Compensation Plan, click here.

What does it cost to become an independent Consultant with TBC?
Our Starter Kit investment is $20.00 (plus shipping), which includes 10 PHENOLMENAL! START DVDs, an audio training CD-ROM, quality lanyard for use at trade shows or other events, and your personal business website free for one year. It's that simple! Additional sales aids, such as company brochures, business cards, marketing materials, etc.) are available for purchase once you become a Consultant.

Can I become a Consultant without knowing an existing Consultant?
Yes. While we recommend you enroll through an existing Consultant, you are welcome to enroll directly with us. After you enroll, we will assign you to a Consultant in your area who can become your mentor.

I’ve joined as a Consultant. When do I get my Consultant ID and password for my personal website?
As soon as you sign up on your sponsor’s personal website, The Balance Company will send you your new Consultant ID number and temporary password. Replace that password with a confidential one and log in! Set up your Profile, create a personalized balance message and upload a personal photograph and you’re in business!

Your sponsor may have interpersonal local trainings in your area or train you by phone. If your sponsor is not available, there are documents on your personal website in the Toolbox section that can guide you. These will help you present the Company to others and give you more information on the business-building steps, and also give more detail on how you earn. If you have additional questions, contact your Business Leader or email support@thebalancecompany.com.

Where do I go to get forms and sales materials?
The Toolbox on your personal website offers you a means of ordering business cards, additional CD-ROMs and brochures, and other materials to help you market your business.

What is the best way to work with the Home Office?
If you have accessed your personal website for answers to your questions and still need additional information, the best process to get your questions answered and receive the support you need is:
- First, contact your sponsor or Business Leader (your sponsor’s leader). They are usually equipped to answer any questions you have, simply because "they’ve been there!"
- If there are questions your sponsor or Business Leader cannot answer, you can email us at support@thebalancecompany.com. Please include as much information and be as specific as possible (example: your compensation question; a particular order number, date, concern, steps you have taken to resolve the issue, etc)
- In most cases, your needs will be resolved in steps 1 or 2 above. If you feel you need some additional personal care, feel free to call us directly at (650) 931-0900.

ORDERING & SHIPPING
What is TBC’s policy with regard to collecting and remitting sales tax?
TBC collects and remits sales tax based on retail pricing inclusive of shipping and handling. This is a benefit for our independent Consultants, as it allows them to focus on building their business and not be burdened with tax issues and other regulatory matters. TBC does not recognize tax-exempt status.

Can I call in my order instead of ordering online?
Absolutely. Simply call (650) 931-0900 and we’ll take your order directly over the telephone.

How long before I receive my order?
All orders received will be shipped the following business day via ground services. Depending on the destination, orders will arrive in approximately 2 - 5 business days from placing the order. All orders received by 9:55 a.m. (Pacific Time) will be processed and shipped the same day. Orders received after 9:55 a.m. (PT) will be processed the following day.

When do Auto-Ship Member orders ship?
Auto-Ship Member orders are processed within three (3) days of sign-up, and will ship each month around that same date. A Consultant may choose to edit their Auto-Ship orders by logging into their business center and editing under “My Auto-Ship”. Consultants are responsible for maintaining Auto-Ship eligibility and PV amounts in any given month.

How much will I be charged for shipping?
Shipping charges are based on weight and are automatically calculated at checkout.

How do I change an order before it is shipped?
If you have placed an order and need to make adjustments, please call us the same day, or email us at support@thebalancecompany.com.

How do I go about getting a refund?
TBC offers an unconditional 60-day money-back guarantee on your initial purchase of our products.* It is the consumer’s responsibility to pay return shipping charges (not refunded). Please call us directly at (650) 931-0900 to get a return authorization.

Does TBC ship outside the United States?
Currently, TBC only operates in the United States. Our future plans include international expansion once we become solidified in the U.S. Stay tuned!
